Description
RWC TPR15 Reliance Temperature Pressure Relief Valve
The is a safety measure designed to offer protection against over-pressurisation which can commonly occur if the input temperature within an unvented hot water cylinder system fails. The e fits in the upper portion of the unvented cylinder as this is the region where the hot water system witnesses the highest temperature rise. The fits in the upper portion of the unvented cylinder as this is the region where the hot water system witnesses the highest temperature rise. The RWC TPR15 has wax in it that expands once the temperature rises above 95° C. This in turn causes the valve to lift off its seat and let the water flow into the waste. The valve will remain shut until and unless the set pressure of the relief mechanism is reached. When that happens, it will automatically open to release the extra pressure that may have built up in the hot water system.
The pressure relief valve has a temperature relief between 90-95°C. It offers complete and safe protection against temperatures above the upper limit which is 95°C. It has a twist-top cartridge design that is easy to service. For this product, there is a wide range of different pressure settings and different probe lengths that are available for any custom setup. Some of the models also come with a complete PTFE coating. The standards and approvals for this reliance temperature pressure relief valve are BS EN 1490 and it is also WRAS Approved.
